Artist Biography

Andrew Fisher Bunner was born and died in New York City. He studied both in New York and in Europe, and his work reflects the influences of the Hudson River School as well as the Italianate styles of masters like Turner and Whistler. Throughout most of the 1870s he traveled around France, Holland, Germany, and Italy; Venice was of particular interest to the artist, inspiring his best work.
