Tribe: adopted Kwakwaka'wakwJohn Livingston (b. 1951) has been closely associated with the Hunt family for many years. He is internationally known for his fine carvings and is highly regarded as a teacher and mentor to young carvers. John was taught to carve by Henry Hunt and Tony Hunt in the early 1970's. John has worked on many large commissions with the late Henry Hunt, Tony Hunt, Calvin Hunt, Tony Hunt Jr., Don Yeomans, Robert Davidson, Tim Paul and Art Thompson. John is a master wood carver and is particularly known for his large works.
