DescriptionDuring the 1970s Rosenquist made a series of prints based on his paintings from the 1960s in order to defray the mounting medical costs incurred by his wife and son after a terrible car accident. The enigmatic Flower Garden, derived from a 1961 painting en grisaille, transforms an ad for rubber gloves and a picture of an athlete's torso.
