    DescriptionThe unique cream and orange pattern was created through a resist technique by using an applicator which had up to five tips. The parallel wavy lines produced a novelty design favored by the Maya who often traded other goods for them. The style has been named Usulatan for the area in which it originated. The reclining figurine was produced in many forms during the Late Preclassic period. This example appears to be pregnant.
