DescriptionPushbutton, based on a painting from 1960-1961, includes cropped images of the lower portion of a woman's legs, a man's hand, and the unnumbered keys of an adding machine. Again, the source is magazine advertising. The work, with its inherent concept of mutilation, has been interpreted as a metaphor for the dangers of/from technology, still a topical subject some forty years later.
