    Visual Description

This ten-foot-tall cedar totem pole features three distinct subjects, one atop the other, painted with bold formlines in black, brick red, forest green, chocolate brown, and sky blue. On the bottom is a squat figure in glossy blonde wood, and above it is a brown bear-like figure with a downward pointing fish painted onto its stomach. On the top of the totem pole is a black bird, the insides of its spread wings adorned with red and sky-blue markings, the same colors found in the face painted on its chest.
