    DescriptionThis is an impressive example of the daily use corte from the village of Zunil, with orange, blue, yellow, white, green, and red colors used throughout this piece. Two lengths of cloth have been sewn together to form a tube; a woman would then step inside the tube and wrap the skirt around her body, securing the skirt with a tight belt. In case there were any doubt this piece of cloth was meant for a woman’s corte, women dressed in traditional Maya clothing are woven right into the cloth itself.
