DescriptionThis work is either by the hand of Ho Chaozong or Ho Chaochun, both of whom apparently lived during the late Ming Dynasty. Guanyin is seen standing on rolling clouds, wearing diaphanous robes and accompanied by her young acolyte who is holding a flute. She wears the jewels of a Bodhisattva and bears a benevolent countenance that foretells her compassionate intent.
