DescriptionPeople of the forest of southern Cameroon and the Tikar of the Eastern Grassfields are descendents of the ancestors of the powerful Bamum Kingdom and numerous smaller chiefdoms of the Bamileke and Western Grassfields. Each village owns a group of head crest masks that appear on occasions that demonstrate the power and authority of the chief.
