    DescriptionThe Lenca people of El Salvador and central-western Honduras were highly influenced by the Maya city-states around them. Throughout Mesoamerica people practiced feasting as a means of social negotiation, and large spouted jars such as this one have been found to contain the residue of a spicy chocolate drink, used in feasts and ceremonies.
