DescriptionDance paddles from the northern Solomon Islands feature painted, low relief designs called kokorra: squatting figures with delicate limbs and body, and large head with round, staring eyes and elongated earlobes. They wear a headdress similar to those worn by initiates in the Bonito Cult who impersonate the urar, spirits of deceased clan members.
