DescriptionThe aryballus-shape of the water bottle and the flattened rim of the spout are two adaptations made by the Inca to what was, by the time of Inca supremacy, a well established pottery industry. In most cases, the Inca potters simply adopted already established local practices and styles, with small innovations. This bottle has a bird frieze.
